January Trade Shows!
It’s the first month of 2015 and were hard at work here at Vision Engraving and Routing Systems with 4 trade shows coming up this month of January. First we’re headed overseas to England to support our British sales representative CSI Manufacturing, representing Vision’s international status as the American Import at The Trophex Show January 18th to 19th. Then it’s back to the USA, Las Vegas NV for some ATF Compliant Firearms Marking at the Shot Show January 20th to 23rd and the 2015 ARA International Awards Market January 27th to 30th. Wrapping things for the month, it’s a quick hop to Dallas Texas for the FASTSIGNS Convention January 29th to 30th, we’ll have a live demo of the 2550 CNC Router doing more than just signs!

The SEMA Show 2014 Recap!
The 2014 SEMA Show was an amazing event, jam packed with automotive enthusiast looking to see the latest and greatest the industry has to offer! Being Vision’s second year to attend the SEMA Show, we were revved up and ready to go for another successful show!
The Vision 2550 CNC Router / Engraver and VE 810 Small Engraver drew in attendees with their exceptional ability to permanently mark a variety of metal materials. Many found both the 2550 and the VE 810 ideal for parts marking, ID Plates, and serialization. The size and volume of their application determined which machine garnered their attention. As always, our Systems Consultants looked for the best solution to meet the customer’s budget and application needs.
The 2550’s affordable price and many available CNC router options were popular topics in our booth. Options like the Unist Misting System, NSK High-Frequency Spindle, Oscillating Knife, Engraving Head and more, allow the 2550 CNC Router to be a multi-functioning machine, saving space, time and money.
As the SEMA Show came to a close and the roaring engines and blaring sound systems faded down to footsteps of exiting visitors, we are happy to say the SEMA Show was a very successful trade show. We were able to create new business opportunities and help customers find solutions for their parts marking and automotive customization needs.

SGIA 2014 Show Recap!
They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But since the 2014 SGIA Expo set the record for being the largest attended SGIA Expo ever, it was just too awesome of a show to keep quiet!
The amount of traffic flowing through our booth was non-stop. Our 2550 with NEW Oscillating Knife option was put through its paces running print-to-cut demos throughout the show. Attendees were drawn in and hooked on its precision quality and variety of available options, but the winning deal for soon-to-be customers was the 2550's industrial grade quality offered at an affordable price. It's a "Winner, winner chicken dinner of a deal!" said Vision Systems Consultant Leslie Calhoun. She also mentioned a lot of excitement over the 1624R Desktop CNC Router, quoting one booth visitor saying, "Finally an industrial grade CNC router that fits in our office!"
Although the 1624R is our smallest router, it still has all the options and capabilities of our bigger systems. Options like the NEW Oscillating Knife, Router Head, Engraving Head, Auto Braille Inserter, DACS Print-To-Cut systems and more.
This type of innovation that pushes boundaries and allows Vision owners to do more on one machine has always played well for Vision at the SGIA Expo, a place where innovation and emerging technologies draw in showgoers and exhibitors alike.

ROUTING a 1 1/2" ACRYLIC VISION LOGO
Routing on a 2550 - This was done on a large sheet of acrylic. You will see in the video that it is pulled loose at the very end of routing. We set it up for 1/2" per pass. the acrylic is 1 1/2" thick, so three passes was all that was needed. The acrylic looks like Ice at the end.

Notice to Vision Customers – New Dongles
Vision Engraving & Routing Systems is starting to ship a new type of dongle with Vision Pro 8 software instead of the purple Hasp dongle. The new dongle is an orange USB memory stick. Some of the advantages of the new orange USB memory-type dongle are listed below:
· Requires no Windows dongle driver as Windows looks at it like a standard USB memory stick.
· The orange dongle can be plugged in before Vision Pro is installed.
· The orange dongle has license files that work only with the particular dongle that they are installed on.
· When Vision Pro is installed, it will automatically install the correct type of Vision Pro (Vision Pro, Vision Pro LT,
Vision Pro Laser, etc.).
· Passwords are no longer required to install the software.
