Why Use a Rotary Engraver Over of a Laser Engraver?

Most applications that are done with a laser engraver can also be done with a rotary engraver. Rotary engravers are less expensive to purchase and maintain, do not require the use of ventilation systems, and are better suited for many applications, such as stainless steel and some plastics. Clean-up of plastics engraved with a rotary machine is fast and easy, and does not require solvents or other cleaning solutions. In addition, rotary engraving does not cause melting or color-bleeding in plastics, as will occur with laser etching or laser marking systems. Rotary systems can engrave and mark parts made of wood, metals, plastics, glass, ceramics, and more.
